Scuba Diving

The diving in the Caribbean is some of the best in the world, from colorful reefs and world-class wrecks to close encounters with tropical fish and marine life.

The visibility is nearly always 75 to 100+ feet and the water temperature is typically between 78 to 84 degrees Fahrenheit. Generally, a lycra skin or light wetsuit is all that's required for thermal protection. Most of the diving is between 25 and 80 feet deep, and many of the more interesting dives are 60 feet or less.

Diving from the yacht is convenient and carefree. The two transom areas provide easy access to the water and the crew will assist you with your gear right at the water's edge, so you'll never have to carry, or wear tanks or equipment onboard. Tanks are filled directly from the onboard compressor, so there's no need to switch tanks between dives. Your dive masters will safely guide you through all your dives during your week. Tanks, air fills, services of the dive guides ,weights and weight belts, in addition to our quality masks, fins and snorkels are all included. If you bring your own BC and regulator, diving is free during your week aboard. If you do not wish to lug your gear half way across the world, Ad Astra provides the convenience of high quality gear for rental at $30 per day of use or $150 for the week per person.
